EXPERIENCE

Fiona brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Tony Hargreaves & Partners. An integral part of the firm for over a decade, she is an accredited criminal law specialist with her name appearing consecutively in the annual Doyle’s Guide list of Victoria’s top Criminal Law solicitors.   

Prior to working at Tony Hargreaves & Partners, Fiona was the Associate to Her Honour Judge Gaynor of the County Court of Victoria, sitting in the criminal division of the Court. This came after 4 years working in commercial litigation where she acted for individuals and companies in all jurisdictions including contract disputes, professional negligence claims, residential and retail tenancy disputes, insolvency and bankruptcy matters, intellectual property litigation and regulatory investigations.

Fiona has a particular interest in fraud-related and ‘white-collar’ crime cases and has acted for a number clients charged by the Australian Federal Police and ASIC. Fiona has also represented organisations and individuals who have been the victim of fraud to recover misappropriated monies, including extensive experience in ex parte applications to the Supreme Court for Search and Freezing Orders.

Fiona regularly appears on behalf of her clients in the Magistrates’ and County Court. Her passion for justice and fervent attention to detail set her apart, making her an exceptional advocate

Fiona is a Mentor for the Women in Crime Association. She is also a Member of the Law Institute of Victoria Criminal Law Section. Whilst at University, Fiona was awarded a scholarship from the Japanese Ministry of Education for academic excellence.
